  • Alexander County 911 Coordinator

    The Alexander County Emergency Telephone Systems Board is looking for a 911 Coordinator.  The Coordinator will report to the Alexander Co ETSB.  The position is a full time salaried position (40 hours per week) handling the day to day operation of the 911 system.  This position also requires being on call 24 hours a day / 7 days a week to handle system emergencies. 

    Successful candidates will be able to pass a criminal background check, have a high school diploma, and possess 5 + years in a related field.  They will also maintain a professional appearance, demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills, and have a working knowledge of emergency communication systems.  Other required skill sets will include the proven ability to project a good public relations image, work effectively with other officials, employees, and the general public.  This job requires a self-directed individual that can accomplish goals without close supervision.  Knowledge of MSAG, and GIS systems is a must.
